PPUABA Grants

The Park Place – Underhill Avenue Block Association has traditionally made annual grants to organizations and projects in the local community which serve the population of Prospect Heights. Such grants are made if PPUABA has funds available above and beyond what is needed for its annual budget.

Our 2023 Grant process concluded with the approval of 3 grants at the March 15, 2023 monthly block association meeting. See the Grant History section below for information about the 2023 grants.

At our January meeting, our Treasurer recommended and attendees approved a 2023 grant budget of $2,000. The window for submission of 2023 grant applications closed as of our February monthly meeting on Feb 15, 2023. The Grants Committee evaluated the grant applications and made recommendations to the membership as to which grant applications should be approved and at which amounts, at the March 15, 2023 meeting. PPUABA Grant Policy
The PPUABA Grant Policy details the process and timeline used by the Association for

1. determining the available budget, if any, for grants
2. members to nominate organizations or projects to receive grants
3. evaluating grant applications
4. approving grant applications
5. distributing funds

PPUABA Grant Application
A member who wishes to request a grant to be made for an organization or community project must complete and submit a Request For Grant form. Please download the form, complete the required information, save the form, and email it to ppuaba.pres@gmail.com no later than the date of February PPUABA meeting. Alternatively, the form can be printed, completed by hand, and delivered to the block association president.
