The Democratic Primary Election Day is Tuesday, June 23rd, 2026!

Is it important to vote in a primary election?
YES! In the heavily Democratic districts that our PPUABA blocks are in, in many races the Democratic candidate is almost assured of winning the general election in November - so the important decision is which Democratic candidate will be on the ballot in the general election, and that outcome is determined by the June primary. (The Republican, Conservative, and Working Families parties are not holding primary elections in the districts in which our PPUABA blocks reside).

Which offices and candidates are on the ballot?
Our 4 PPUABA blocks span 2 different Congressional districts and 2 different NYS Assembly districts, so depending on which block and which side of the street you live, you will see different races on your ballot. See below, or to view a sample ballot pertinent to your address, enter your address here.

Member of Congress
Those of us living on the south side of Park Place east of Underhill Avenue, or on the east side of Underhill Avenue south of Park Place are in Congressional District 9. The candidates are incumbent Yvette D. Clarke and challengers Mike Goldfarb and Joshua Bristol.

Those of us living elsewhere within PPUABA's footprint are in Congressional District 10. The candidates are incumbent Dan Goldman and challenger Brad Lander.

NYS Comptroller
All NYS voters will see the NYS Comptroller race on their ballots. The candidates are incumbent Thomas P. DiNapoli and challengers Drew Warshaw and Raj Goyle.

NYS Assembly
Those of us living on the east side of Underhill Avenue are in NYS Assembly District 44, where incumbent Robert Carroll is unopposed as the Democratic candidate, so there is no primary for this race.

Those of us living on the west side of Underhill Avenue are in NYS Assembly District 52. The candidates are incumbent Jo Anne Simon and challenger Lydia Bella Green.

Civil Court Judge - 6th Municipal Court District
All voters on PPUABA blocks will see this race on their ballots. This is a special election to fill a vacancy so there is no incumbent. The candidates are Janice P. Purvis and Michelle Desouza.
